Job Overview

This role will report to the User experience team within Qualcomm IT. This team includes a multidisciplinary team of research, interaction, and visual designers. The role will interface with various teams within IT and business to embed UX standard practices, provide creative and insightful design solutions.

Responsibilities include

  1. Understanding motivations and user behaviors for using IT supported solutions and provide experiences that engage and delight

  2. Collaborate with the members of the user research team, IT service leads, and management to propose design solutions and help execute in close collaboration with the development team

  3. Collaborate with other team members to translate research into design concepts and develop wireframes and prototypes

  4. Leverage qualitative and quantitative user research to propose out of box thinking and solutions

Minimum Qualifications

5+ years experience with a proven track record in building a user interface for solutions and tools including:

  1. Experience and knowledge of workflow, wireframing, and schematic creation tools such as Sketch, Invision

  2. Experience delivering design products in an Agile environment

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to communicate and convey rationale behind design decisions effectively to stakeholders

Willingness to take stretch assignments to support rets of the team members when needed

Ability to work and collaborate with others effectively

Education Requirements

Degree or certification in multimedia or human-computer interaction
