Job Overview:

QCT Multimedia Camera System group creates embedded camera and imaging solutions for Qualcomm chipsets that power todays most advanced IOT products. With dedicated hardware, multi-core processors and GPU, QCT imaging solutions achieve state of the art video/photo quality, and also target applications requiring auto white balance, auto exposure control, auto focus, automatic scene detection and compensation.

Responsibilities:

• Developing camera software staggered high dynamic range (SHDR) algorithm and ISP algorithms (including temporal noise reduction, sharpness, tone mapping, image contrast algorithm etc.) for IP camera, sport camera, drone camera, and robotic camera.

• Working with software teams to implement the new algorithms. The work includes the proper documentation and the verification approach for SW engineers.

• Working with the test teams to design test methods for the algorithms and to facilitate the test of the new algorithms before SW release.

• Collaborating with individuals inside own team and with other teams to complete project work.

• Providing training for internal and external customers

Minimum Qualifications:

• Good experience with Programming Language C and C++ .

• Ability to speak and write in English fluently.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience on Image processing algorithm is a big plus.

• Prior experience on GPU algorithm development/optimization is a big plus.

• Prior experience on camera AEC algorithm is a big plus.

• Hands-on experience developing algorithms for embedded devices.

• Experience in large-scale software project.

• Experience in Linux, Windows operating system, framework, application, and development environment.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Education Requirements

• Master's, Imaging/Color/Optics Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering, and/or related field.

• Preferred: Doctorate, Imaging/Color/Optics Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering, and/or related field.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.

OR

Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Systems Engineering or related work experience.

OR

PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
