QCA is looking for a software engineer to develop firmware and drivers for the networking component of chipsets, including controlling low level hardware functionality such as clock management, low level power distribution, interrupt controllers and hardware platform configuration. The candidate will need to understand network hardware components such as MACs and switches. The candidate will be expected to work closely with the Hardware and System Engineering team to help define and design modes of operation; contribute to the future chipset architecture; determine software requirements by analyzing hardware and system specifications; design, implement and test embedded software in one or more high level operating systems; bring up new chips. The candidate will also work closely with various teams to develop, integrate and test those designs in the overall software stack across multiple Operating Systems and multiple processors.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
2+ years Software Engineering or related work experience.
2+ years experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
Strong embedded software engineering experience, with solid analytical and problem solving skills.
Strong programming skills in the C programming language and experience with debugging embedded software using an in-circuit debugger.
Experience in working with networking components and networking protocols.
Understanding of multiprocessing
Experience with embedded systems including compiling, linking, loading, and executing firmware images.
Required: Bachelor's, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science
Preferred: Master's, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science
