Job Overview QCT Core Technologies is looking to hire talented engineers in the target power group. In this highly visible role, the candidate will perform system level software analysis, use case level power and thermal optimization and solve broad system level problems.
The candidate is expected to collaborate with Architecture, HW design, Performance, Power & Thermal Systems and various software teams to work towards optimal system level power and thermal software solution.
In addition, the candidate will also participate in development of tools for power and thermal software analysis and optimization.
Product feature/requirement areas include, but are not limited to:
*Meeting the power and thermal requirements for the overall system,
*Working with various HLOS on application cores to meet end-to-end power and thermal goals

Minimum Qualifications 6 months of academic or industry experience in the following:
*Real Time Operating Systems
*C/ASM; embedded systems preferred
Preferred Qualifications Ideal candidates will have 6 months to 5 years of academic or industry experience in the areas listed in the minimum qualifications, in addition to one or more of the following skills. *Debugging Real Time Embedded Systems using JTAG or equivalent
*Knowledge of Wireless WAN, LAN, GPS etc. technologies Personal Attributes / Soft Skills: *Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
*Excellent technical communication and interpersonal skills
*Self-motivated and quick-learner
*Meticulous attention to detail
Education Requirements Required: Bachelor's, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering
Preferred: Master's, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering
