The role of the SharePoint systems analyst is to support the corporate SharePoint user base with incident management, several types of no-code business solutions, requirements gathering/analysis and regression testing.
This role requires the analysis and validation of collaboration needs, applying an organized project management process in determining a suitable solution.
The SharePoint Systems analyst must apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to design and implement solutions leveraging the companys collaboration platform and tools.
Develop and execute test plans, regression test scripts, and other verification tasks related to creation and support of business solutions leveraging the SharePoint platform
Typical daily tasks may include:
-Design, Development and implementation of corporate SharePoint sites, lists, libraries and workflows.
-Participate in gathering/understanding unique customer requirements and needs for both internal and external-facing sites, workflows, and applications.
-Develop and execute plans for migrating the site to new SharePoint releases and ensuring compatibility with new browser releases
-Running usage, permissions, and other types of reports and migration of content using 3rd party tools
-Provide SharePoint application training and support to users and troubleshooting production issues related to the platform
Working under close supervision.
Taking responsibility for own work and making decisions with limited impact; impact of decisions is readily apparent; errors made typically only impact timeline (i.e., require additional time to correct).
Using verbal and written communication skills to convey basic, routine factual information about day-to-day activities to others who are fully knowledgeable in the subject area.
Completing tasks that require multiple steps that must be performed in a specific order, using directions or manuals that accurately document the steps necessary to perform the tasks.
Using deductive problem solving required to solve moderately complex problems; most problems have defined processes of diagnosis/detection; some limited data analysis may be required.
Exercising some creativity may be required to troubleshoot technical problems or deal with novel circumstances.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Communicates with project lead via email and direct conversation to provide project status updates and information about impending obstacles.
Discusses issues within and outside of project team on a regular basis to maintain open communication.
Works with more senior Systems Analysts to analyze and evaluate issues in production-related systems or applications.
Executes test cases, documents test results, and documents test scripts and data requirements for execution.
Manages individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables with minimal supervision.
Seeks out learning opportunities and feedback to increase own knowledge and skill using internal and external training resources.
Escalates complex technical issues to an appropriate party (e.g., project lead, colleagues).
Networks with colleagues within domain of expertise to gain insight, ideas, and connections.
Actively seeks answers for new challenges, and explores multiple strategies for completing project tasks.
Adapts to moderate changes and setbacks in order to manage pressure and meet deadlines.
Completes moderate technical tasks assigned by more senior personnel.
Contributes to technical conversations with tech leads/managers.
Manages distractions, prioritizes tasks, and deals with setbacks in a timely manner under direction from more senior personnel.

Bachelors degree in a technical field (e.g. Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems) OR Bachelors degree in a non-technical field (e.g. Business, Humanities, Marketing) and 1+ years IT-relevant experience OR High School diploma or equivalent and 3+ years IT-relevant experience.
