As a GPU product manager at Qualcomm, you will be help define the next generation of AdrenoTM GPUs for Qualcomms family of SnapdragonTM mobile processors for smartphones, as well as a variety of markets from automotive to virtual reality and more. Were looking for an experienced graphics business and technology leader with a can do attitude and a passion for graphics technology, along with a desire to join a team of fast moving technology innovators. You will play a key role in engaging with industry technology partners and top tier customers to define new products and promote existing ones, therefore an openness to frequent domestic and occasional international travel is essential. Successful candidates will be able both think strategically and will have a proven track record of being able to execute efficiently. An innate ability to multitask and adapt quickly to changing needs is also essential.

The role and responsibilities of the GPU product manager include the following:

  • Leading several aspects of integrated GPU technology product planning and analysis for Snapdragon processors, in collaboration with stakeholders in GPU hardware and software engineering organizations.

  • Help drive General Purpose GPU (GPGPU) strategy, working with other teams e.g. multimedia, computer vision, machine learning, etc.

  • Manage strategic relationships with key customers and other ecosystem partners

  • Clearly communicate GPU product plans, benefits and issues both internally and externally, to a variety of audiences from engineers to executives.

  • Provide GPU product training to field sales and marketing teams, and assist with application developer training.Directs a comprehensive product strategy from product conception and definition through end of life. Functions as a central resource with design, process, manufacturing, quality, test, marketing, and distribution as the product(s) and/or product line(s) move through their lifecycle. Formulates and executes long-term roadmaps for cost/profit control. Promotes use of new technologies and industry-leading trends. Directs those involved in the design, modification, and evaluation of all phases of a specific product or group of products. Involvement lasts throughout all stages of a products lifecycle including modifications, upgrades, and maintenance of the product or product line.The responsibilities of this role include:* Working independently with little supervision.* Making decisions that are moderate in impact; errors may have financial impact or effect on projects, operations, or customer relationships; errors may require involvement beyond immediate work group to correct.* Using verbal and written communication skills to convey complex and/or detailed information to multiple individuals/audiences with differing knowledge levels. May require strong negotiation and influence, communication to large groups or high-level constituents.* Having a moderate amount of influence over key organizational decisions (e.g., is consulted by senior leadership to provide input on key decisions).* Completing tasks that do not have defined steps; simultaneous use of multiple mental abilities is generally required to determine the best approach; mistakes may result in significant rework.* Exercising substantial creativity to innovate new processes, procedures, or work products within guidelines or to achieve established objectives.* Using deductive and inductive problem solving; multiple approaches may be taken/necessary to solve the problem; often information is missing or conflicting; advanced data analysis and interpretation skills are required.* Occasionally participates in strategic planning within own area affecting immediate operations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Humanities, or related field.

  • 4+ years Product Management or related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years Product Management or related work experience.

  • Must have experience with either Display or GPU Engineering Product Management.

  • 2+ years working with operating budgets and/or project financials.

  • 2+ years negotiating 3rd party business agreements.

  • 2+ years working in a large matrixed organization.

Bachelor's Degree Required;

Master's Degree Preferred
