Job Overview The candidate will work in the RFFE (RF Front-End) Department of Qualcomm Technologies. The position offers the opportunity to work on the development of RF Front-End Module to ensure design win and manufacturing success. Qualcomm solutions include highly customized LNAs, PAs, FEMs, antenna tuner and multi-throw switches in standalone and module packages for 4G and 5G wireless cell phone and ultra-mobile devices. The RF New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineer will bring the designs to manufacturability in a fast-paced worldwide team environment, and is required to work closely with RF design, process development, integration, testing, quality, and reliability teams to ensure the product transition from design to manufacturing. The responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

Power Amplifier, LNA, Acoustic filter simulations

Solve complex RF technical issues with techniques developed in Qualcomm

Participate and conduct process and design corners DOEs and FMEAs

Drive product and process yield improvement and product specs optimization.

Design process/product screening methodologies

Define process/product SPC procedures

Identify risk factors throughout the product critical milestones

Coordinate and communicate product risk release activities

Minimum Qualifications 3+ years of experience in any of the following areas is required:

RF/RF MEMS/RF Acoustics design or processing

Power amplifier, tuner, LNA, filters and switch design knowledge

RF circuit analysis

Measurement of microwave active and passive devices

Preferred Qualifications Experience in circuit simulators and design environments like ADS, AWR, HFSS, Virtuoso

Experience in statistical analysis tools such as JMP, Spotfire

Solid Programing and scripting skills with Matlab, Python, R

Innovative problem solver, passion to win/contribute, ability to work in, and thrive in, a multi-disciplinary team environment.

Solid understanding of RF fundamentals such as Smith chart and impedance matching.

Experience in handling big amount of data and finding patterns either manually or with machine learning techniques.

Education Requirements Required: Master's, Electrical Engineering

Preferred: Doctorate, Electrical Engineering
