Job Overview

In this role, this individual will be instrumental in bring Qualcomm's technologies and products to life. These product experiences and demonstration will be featured at industry and company-owned events as well as in our global experience centers and by our regional marketing/business development teams. The major events we participate in are 4G/5G Summit, Snapdragon Tech Summit, CES, Computex, Embedded World, and MWC Barcelona, Shanghai and Los Angeles.

The Product Experiences team supports over 60 events per year representing Qualcomm Technologies' portfolio across 5G, R&D leadership, Mobile and Compute, Automotive, Networking and Connectivity with Wi-Fi, Voice and Music, Wearables, consumer and industrial IoT. As part of this team, he/she will be responsible in enabling compelling and engaging experiences in support of our vision for hyper-connected homes, industries and cities as well as people with wearables, hearables, etc. He/she will be involved in design and development through execution collaborating on these experiences with technical and non-technical teams across the company and sometimes externally. Oftentimes the product marketing manager acts as a program manager responsible for planning, governance and for overseeing the successful execution of the product experiences and demonstrations.

He/she will be expected to lead product experiences planning at select events including demo selection, booth design and layout, booth signage, equipment preparation and shipments, demo descriptions and scripts and other booth-related marketing materials development and staffing. He/she will partner with the events team on show strategy, tactics and logistics. During many of these shows, this individual will support booth set up/tear down and booth duty representing the product experiences he/she helped create. As a company spokesperson, he/she will represent Qualcomm explaining how these products and technologies are transforming how the world connects, computes and communicates.

With an ever-changing calendar and mix of technologies and products, he/she will need to be flexible and dynamic ready to multi-task and shift gears constantly. A technical background or ability to quickly learn and grasp technical materials and work with engineers is expected.

Responsibilities include:

Manage a portfolio of ever-evolving product experiences

Be the product experiences team lead for select industry and company-lead event

Formulate end-to-end product experiences planning from ideation through execution

Collaborate across engineering, marketing, business development, product management and other teams on product experiences planning and execution

Generate demo ideas and concepts to bring new products and technologies to life in more compelling and experiential ways

Maintain ongoing dialogue and regular meetings with stakeholders

Manage product experience milestones and keep demo development on schedule

Develop product experiences-related marketing materials such as demo messaging, demo scripts, demo videos, booth graphics, booth signage, etc

Make the product experiences relevant to the target audience where speaking or creating materials for technical and non-technical and then B2B and B2C

Public spokesperson for product experiences and demos

Minimum Qualifications

5+ years' experience in the following required:

  • Marketing

  • Program management or engineering experience in high-tech industry

Preferred Qualifications

-Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Ability to work and lead in a highly collaborative team environment, building alignment and consensus across technical and non-technical teams

  • Self-starter, must be resourceful, and able to effectively operate in a complex, fast-paced environment

Education Requirements

Required: Bachelor's in Business Administration, Communications, Computer Engineering , Computer Science, Electrical Engineering , Information Technology and/or equivalent experience

Preferred: Master's in one of the above
