Job Overview QCT's SoC Bus and Memory Controller group consists of a multi-disciplinary group involved from early product specification and analysis effort to final core delivery to the SoCs. Memory System (DDR and cache) Firmware Engineers are responsible for developing system level firmware and validating it in pre-silicon and post-silicon platforms.
Some of the tasks in this role include:
Review and signoff SW usage model with HW engineers
SW design of hardware sequences collaborating with HW designers
FW source code development, verification, integration, review and maintenance
Develop test environment, test plan and validate FW on emulation platform
Test and validate memory system on post-silicon platform
Review and analyze test results, propose failure hypothesis and debug steps

Minimum Qualifications Bachelors degree and 3+ years' experience in:
C/C++ coding/debug and scripting (PERL, Python)
Embedded System Design
Experience with system architecture and hardware design with special emphasis on DDR and/or cache
Experience with Lauterbach embedded system debug tools
Experience with FW/HW debug utilizing Logic Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscope and other lab debug tools
Preferred Qualifications Masters degree
Exposure to RTL Design Verification flows
Education Requirements Required: Bachelor's, Computer Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering
Preferred: Master's, Computer Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering
