Qualcomm's Corporate Legal Department is looking for a candidate with a strong background in statistical analysis and managing large projects. This is an exciting opportunity to join a multifaceted, high-visibility, and fast paced function that traverses international policy, legal, and strategy initiatives.
The analyst is responsible for the researching, identifying, generating, and organizing a wide variety of internal and external data, and for doing the statistical analysis in support of Qualcomms legal (litigation, regulatory) and international policy issues. A self-started and creative analyst must be able to analyze and visualize the data in different ways to fit the needs of a specific analysis or audience. Must have the ability to confidently and clearly communicate reports and presentations for explaining the data, methodology, trends and analysis, to a broad group of stake-holders with varying backgrounds.
You will have an opportunity to leverage your existing skills while learning new ones in a fast-paced startup environment within a large company. You will have access to a broad network of academic, business, policy, and legal experts. You will work closely with the Government Affairs/Policy leads in various countries, legal/litigation and antitrust leads for high profile legal cases, and other business leaders. You will be among the first to work with our unique datasets, and to help discover new insights in Qualcomms business, legal, and policy positions.
Responsibilities include: strong project management skills, generating, organizing, analyzing large and reliable data-sets from multiple sources, interfacing with various internal departments and external organizations, clear documentation generation of well-written policy reports and presentations for explaining the data, methodology, and the analysis to a broad group of stake-holders

5-8+ years of relevant experience in an academic, industry, or technical field with expertise in independently collecting, organizing, and analyzing a variety of data-sets including:
Experience in managing large projects, tracking them and completing them while tracking various deadlines.
Formal statistical methodologies such as: logit models, generalized linear models, categorical data analyses, ANOVA and regression;
Prior work experience as an analyst in a large corporation or consulting company;
Knowledge of Intellectual Property (IP) and Wireless Telecom Industry;
Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills.
M.S./Advanced Degree in Statistics, Economics, Engineering, or related Quantitative Science is preferred
