General Summary:

Drafts, negotiates, administers, and manages contracts, including outlining clear terms that are aligned with business objectives and stakeholder needs. Actively involved throughout the contract lifecycle from planning requirements to fulfillment of obligations, addressing issues and risks as needed. Applies and maintains current understanding of Qualcomm policies, positions, and operations as well as legal guidelines related to contracts administration and/or management.

This position is an integral member of the Corporate Legal Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) Contracts Team responsible for managing all NDAs for Qualcomm globally.

**Required to be onsite full time in San Diego

Responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing and analyzing new NDA requests from internal customers to ensure all required information is sufficient for NDA preparation.

  • Researching counterparty’s corporate structure, place of incorporation and status.

  • Determining the appropriate NDA format, drafting and sending NDAs to external parties.

  • Reviewing, editing and processing NDAs throughout contract lifecycle, including contract execution and upload into contracts database.

  • Collaborating with senior team members as needed to ensure proper development, execution and processing of contracts

  • Effectively communicating Qualcomm policies and/or positions with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Discussing legal and business matters internally with relevant leaders.

  • Managing NDAs in contracts database, including contract upload and data entry.

  • Assisting internal client with general NDA inquiries

  • Developing and analyzing data and metrics for Corporate Legal leadership.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Communication, Business, Political Science, or related field and 2+ years of Contract Administration experience or related work experience.

OR

Associate's degree in Communication, Business, Political Science, or related field and 4+ years of Contract Administration experience or related work experience.

OR

High School diploma or equivalent in in Communication, Business, Political Science, or related field and 6+ years of Contract Administration experience or related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communication, Business, Political Science, or related field.

  • 5+ years of Contract Administration experience, including drafting and managing contracts.

  • Experience working with contract management tools, Agiloft preferred.

  • Experience researching corporate organizational structure and status.

  • Experience negotiating contracts.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Drafts and administers contracts and amendments based on understanding of contracts administration procedures, structure, and guidelines; helps senior team members negotiate contracts.

• Manages contracts and follows up on execution according to terms with limited guidance.

• Researches, analyzes, and interprets contracts to share insights and support the team with limited guidance based on knowledge of contract and legal principles.

• Understands and helps communicate Qualcomm's policies and positions related to contracts with internal parties.

• Analyzes and responds to requests for information in a timely manner, ensuring information is accurate.

• Communicates with internal and some external stakeholders to understand needs and share updates.

• Learns new processes and approaches to accomplish work and recognizes ways to improve existing ones.

• Manages individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables with minimal supervision.

• Solicits and follows guidance to make sound, ethical, and timely decisions.

Level of Responsibility:

• Works under close supervision.

• Responsible for own work. Decision-making is limited. Impact of decisions is readily apparent. Errors made typically only impact timeline (i.e., require additional time to correct).

• Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey basic, routine factual information about day-to-day activities to others who are fully knowledgeable in the subject area.

• Works within the prescribed budgetary objectives of the department. Erroneous decisions, failure to achieve results may cause delays in schedules and result in the re-allocation of some resources.

• Some tasks require multiple steps which must be performed in a specific order; directions or manuals can accurately document the steps necessary to perform the task.

• Some creativity may be required to troubleshoot technical problems or deal with novel circumstances.

• Limited problem solving required, generally in the nature of troubleshooting simple processes or technology.

Pay range:

$64,000.00 - $96,000.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm.
