Job Overview

QCT Mobile Business Operations Team is looking for a Staff level Business Operations Analyst in San Diego. This role is a focal point in the organization for the management, coordination, execution and communication of all Product Lifecycle activities for the Mobile Business Unit. This person will work closely with Product Marketing, Regional Sales and Customer Service, Program Management, Supply Chain Management, Sales Operations Forecast Group, Operations, Customer Engineering and other QCT organizations to perform a full range of activities in support of New Product Introduction (NPI) all the way through End of Life (EOL) for an assigned portfolio of devices.

Analyst will partner with Product Management and Program Management on the successful roll out of NPI devices, making sure key customers are supported on time and able to launch flagship platforms with all sources qualified through their R&D activities for maximized supply flexibility at ramp-up.

Analyst will play a pivotal role in process change notifications (PCNs), collaborating with Customer Support Teams to understand the impact of Hardware Changes and/or Lifecycle Changes to customers and drive a risk mitigated external POR. Will also be responsible for driving and tracking customer acceptance of changes and managing demand transitions to the changed device with little to no supply constraints or E&O due to the transition.

Analyst will work closely with Customer Quality, Product Quality and Supply Chain in regards to quality alerts/issues and understand the impact of the issue to commits/shipments. Also, will be a key participant in strategic risk mitigation discussions in regards to quality alerts/issues. This will include inventory segregation/management decisions, working with Customer Engineering and Supply Chain on rescreen efforts and creating a Plan of Record (POR) to address the issue at hand and provide continued support of spec compliant material.

Analyst will drive Lifecycle Changes through the understanding of the market climate in order to recommend and drive End of Life activities upon the appropriate market signals. This includes proposing a lifecycle change POR, gaining Business Unit approvals, executing the external communication and coordinating the internal closure of the device.

Minimum Qualifications

Required 4+ years' experience with the following:

  • Semiconductor and/or wireless handset or hand held communication industry.

  • Product Planning, Product Management and/or Product/Customer support role

  • Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred:

  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain key collaborative relationships across multiple functional organizations

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. Technical degree not required, but is a plus.
