Join a team of software developers building Qualcomm IZat position location technology server products and related tools. In this position you will be responsible for design and development of high quality, globally scalable server software using Java/Ruby/Python, Big Data and the related software technologies. You will work closely with other software, systems and test engineers involved with research and development of location technology.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
4+ years Software Engineering or related work experience.
2+ years experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
Strong software design and development experience (5-7 yrs)
Proficient in Ruby scripting, Java language and multi-threaded programming on Linux platform.
Experience with Hive, Hadoop, SQL, MySQL DB, Jetty, Java software development tools
Experience with AWS Cloud Services
Familiarity with source code management systems such as Perforce, ClearCase
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
The candidate will be required to write specification and design documents.
Responsibilities include design documentation, code development, unit testing, release documentation, troubleshooting.
Experience with scripting languages like Python and Perl.
Knowledge of Machine Learning (ML)
Knowledge of wireless positioning systems, particularly Assisted GPS/GNSS, WWAN and Wi-Fi based positioning.
Familiarity with telecommunication protocols
