General Summary:
Responsibilities:
Design, plan and implement server components/microservices based on feature requirements
Participate in design review, requirements clarification, code review and other project related discussions
Technical documentation - design, implementation, service, release notes, user guides, etc.
Co-ordinate with other teams for system integration, validation and deployment
Debugging/troubleshooting of issues, unit testing
Enhance and maintain existing set of server components and tools
Support QA/DevOps teams in feature functionality and debugging
Work with cross-functional geographically distributed teams
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
Required Skills:
Software design/development experience in at least one of these programming languages – go, Java, C++ Understanding of OOPS concepts, Software Fundamentals, DevOps processes
Databases/data stores – Postgres, MySQL, Redis, SqlLite, RDS
Cloud services – AWS, Azure
Experience in developing large scale systems using microservices architecture
Familiarity with DevOps processes and tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Git, Terraform, Datadog
Familiarity with scripting languages like Python
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Good-to-Have Skills:
Knowledge of wireless positioning technologies using 4G/5G/GNSS/WiFi
Development experience in scalable distributed server systems/services on Linux
Familiarity with telecommunication protocols
