Qualcomm seeks an IT Network Engineer with an exposure to:
Large heterogeneous networking environments
Configure Arista Data Center network equipment.
Load balancers like citrix netscalers , F5.
Protocols/technologies such as OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, Spanning-Tree, QoS, vPC/MLAG, VXLAN.
TCP/IP operations and troubleshooting
Individual, group and vendor-assisted troubleshooting
Working in data center IT operations.
Data center network infrastructure components.
Production environment in Global load balancing, Local load balancing, SSL acceleration, HTTP compression/caching, and DNS.
DNS functionality and concepts as it relates to IPv4 and IPv6.
DNS based Global Server Load Balancing (GSLB) theory
Load balancing technology including algorithms and health check options
Hosting SSL certificates on Citrix NetScaler
Citrix NetScaler VIP configurations with health check.
Services/protocols such as DNS, DHCP, Radius, TACACS+, SNMP, LDAP, SMTP and NFS.
Windows, Linux, UNIX and Solaris.Job Responsibilities will involve:
Adhering to corporate change management policies and practices.
Be both a team player and skillful leader.
Develop and maintain technical documentation.
Mentor junior engineers, support teams, and customers.
Monitor daily operations and troubleshoot problems.
Upgrades, enhancements and configuration changes as needed.
Creativity and technical leadership.
Technical leadership in emerging data center network technologies.
Provide support for Qualcomm's data center networks comprised of Arista routers and switches, Cisco Nexus, Citrix NetScaler ADC, Fortigate, Palo Alto Firewalls.
Work on cross-departmental and cross-functional teams.
Work on emerging software defined networking technologies.
Closely work with NetOps/DevOps team for network automation and orchestration.
Bachelors degree and 3+ years Networked Systems-related work experience OR 5+ years Networked Systems-related work experience without a bachelors degree.
2+ years experience with at least one operating system (e.g., Linux, OSX, Windows).
Cisco Certification (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CCIE) or equivalent industry certification.
