Qualcomm is looking for a full-time experienced Messaging candidate to join the Corporate IT Messaging and Collaboration team managing one of the largest consolidated messaging systems based in Hyderabad.
The candidate will be a technical lead for the support and administration of both on-premise and main O365 Services including, but not limited to Skype, Exchange, Teams, Sharepoint Online, OneDrive, Yammer, Delve, Stream, Video, etc.
The individual will support the various services, as well as provide advanced support to the end user base.Scope of the role involves:
Managing large Microsoft Skype for Business and Exchange environments and Office 365 across multiple regions and multiple entities.The job will involve exposure to:
Skype for Business topology design and able to architect/troubleshoot multiple environments across the organization.
Integrating other technologies with Skype (i.e. 3rd party trusted applications)
Skype for Business (audio, web, and video conferencing and enterprise voice)
Unified Communications / Collaboration industry standards & trends including complete understanding of global email flow and ability to track messages throughout the enterprise and identify mail flow issues.
Maintaining the operational stability of Exchange and Skype, patching/maintaining the environment, scheduling maintenance, and reporting on performance.
Exchange integration with archive and journal platforms such as Veritas Enterprise Vault.
Performing and/or overseeing daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups
O365 service administration for E1 / E3. Possess a good understanding of O365 capabilities, plans, and features.
Interfacing with project team members, project managers and application owners
After hours and on-call support.
Participation in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the Enterprise.
Significant interaction with many different teams across a global company.
Writing and communication skills, maintaining open communication with internal employees, contractors, managers, vendors, and customers as needed
Bachelor's degree and 4+ years IT-relevant work experience OR 7+ years IT-relevant work experience without a bachelors degree.
2+ years leadership role in projects/programs.
