Job Overview

Seasoned procurement individual to provide daily support to US Shipping teams from India. This position requires attention to detail, strong written and oral communication skills and knowledge of international and US import/export requirements as well as ATA/Techro carnets, TIB (temp import bonds) for time-critical demonstration and exhibition items that ship globally

Minimum Qualifications

  • Support US Shipping teams with export documentation and coordination on daily shipments via freight forwarder and courier.

  • Filing EEI's in AES for shipments over $2500 per HTS

  • Coordinate both international and domestic tradeshows for the Corporate Marketing and engineering teams. This requires extensive and detailed communication with the carriers.

  • Maintain event calendar based on information provided by Corporate Marketing teams.

  • Liasion with Export Compliance, Customs and Shipping teams on Shipping Instructions, Logistics planning, export and import regulations and any regulatory holds on pending exports within the TES system.

  • Freight Payment via SSUI

  • Dangerous Goods Certified (IATA) specific to Lithium Ion Batteries

  • Maintenance of SOPs and desktop procedures.

  • Vehicle Moves

  • Freight Supplier Management

  • Freight Claims

  • Procurement Logistical Support for inbound PO purchases from Suppliers

  • Maintain Routing Guides used by both Shipping and Suppliers.

  • Participate in RFP/RFQ's with carriers to ensure we have the best rates possible with our carriers.

  • Shipment tracking and troubleshooting

  • Storage management - maintain an inventory list of items being stored for Marketing and Engineering teams at 3 locations in Southern California

  • Custom Crating and Packaging

  • Bachelors degree (or equivalent experience) in Logistics, Trade Compliance, Supply Chain or other related field

  • 5+ years in import/export logistics

  • Strong working knowledge of US import regulations

  • Ability to adapt to rapid change, work with a sense of urgency, and prioritize tasks through effective time management

  • Strong communication skills in English

  • Ability and proficiency in MS Office, Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in an MNC
