Job Function :
This specialist role with be supporting HR Representatives and their related business unit(s)/departments by providing consultation on employee relations (ER) matters related to various Qualcomm sites in India.
The role requires the incumbent to interpret policies and procedures, advise on fair and equitable employment practices, make recommendations and provide guidance in support of our culture and ensure that such policies/procedures comply with Qualcomm's work culture and Indian employment laws.
The incumbent will be expected to investigate/manage various ER cases or may guide the HR Representative/ Business stakeholders in addressing the specific employee/ employer or Organization situation.Job Responsibilities:
Case Management the incumbent will be required to independently handle employee cases and investigate any violation of policy matters which may arise from time to time. Will need to work with Senior stakeholders for investigation and resolution. Will need to partner with local and global teams for facilitating conversations/ seeking resolutions towards effective outcome.
Compliance & Legal Environment the incumbent will be expected to keep himself/herself abreast with the employment legal environment and new statutory regulations as and when.
Since the role is pan India, it is expected the incumbent will be able to work through the various nuances of each site and arrive at an effective outcome.
Performance Management: Effective management of performance improvement plans and associated activities working closely with the HR Generalist, employee and manager as necessary to facilitate a fair outcome for all stake holders.
Training: Planning the Employee Relations training curriculum and content for each fiscal year, working as a liaison with external training vendors. Developing and reporting out training metrics on a regular basis and ensuring the training classes/programs are run smoothly. Specifically, will work on creation and delivery of employee and manager training focusing on performance management, ethics & culture, policy education, amongst others.
Will also work on other ER projects as needed (e.g. Culture, policy or process related).
Vendor Management - We partner with EAP and Outplacement services the incumbent will be expected to work with them independently and manage relationships and ensure delivery. Work with EAP on training content development & execution/ deliveries/ road shows/ employee communication etc.
Experience: Minimum 8+ years of prior human resources experience preferably in a high-tech environment with a minimum 5+ years of experience as a Human Resource Generalist.
Masters in Human Resources.
Must possess experience within a dynamic fast-paced organization.
Must be a self-starter, have the ability to multi-task and manage/drive multiple projects simultaneously, possess good problem-solving & conflict resolution skills with strong facilitation/influencing skills.
Must be detail orientated.
Prior experience as an Employee Relations specialist is desirable.
