This Role Involves exposure to:
Solid understanding, use, and support of Data Center Information Management (DCIM) systems which include Schneider StruxureWare Datacenter Expert and StruxureWare Datacenter Operations and other similar software.
Web development & operations, including languages such as Python, PHP, MySQL, and BASH.
Work independently and collaboratively and follow standards for on-boarding IT Devices, Critical Rooms (Datacenters, Communications Rooms, etc.) into the respective monitoring and alerting software systems.
machine-generated Alerts and Alarms from data center infrastructure management systems and/or software and act or escalate accordingly to the Partner(s) or Team(s) supporting the respective areas.
Adopt and follow implementation and operational standards of Data Center Information Management (DCIM) systems.
Prepare and maintain DCIM system support documentation, test plans, and change management records.
Build and maintain useful dashboards or reports which convey status of historical and day-to-day Datacenter key performance indicators.
Collaborating with a dynamic team of professionals across the Information Technology (IT) spectrum to execute on-site, hands-on physical infrastructure activity for IT equipment (such as Servers, Networking Devices, Storage Devices, OS Support, etc.) and physical cabling, parts/component replacements, physical hardware troubleshooting, and highlighting challenges - to enable efficient support of the Data Center operations.
Executing work-orders via ticketing queues and systems in a fast-paced environment - leveraging your broad range of skills in support of incident management and change implementation for the entire IT spectrum.
Knowledge of Power, Cooling & Facilities Engineering systems that support the data center. good knowledge of Rack Power Distribution Units supporting diverse Medium to High Density Racks.
Performing reliable inventory, spare, cable, and related asset management, in sensitive internal High Business Impact environments.
Providing excellent customer service, (via your mature interpersonal awareness, and communication skills) to bring your technical abilities to life while supporting companys future success.
Flexibility to support the datacenter and delivery as a deployment-focused contributor when required.
Coordinate DCIM system's ethernet and IT requirements with internal IT operations.
Performing Capacity Management of Datacenter resources including, power, cooling, network ports, physical space, etc.
Supporting IT equipment or related technology
Working on one or two Datacenter Infrastructure Management Systems (DCIM)
Flexibility to work non-business hours (shifts) that may include weekends and/or holidays
Knowledge of physical IT infrastructures (e.g. Servers, Storage, Networking, etc.)
Knowledge of CE infrastructures (e.g. UPS, PDU, rPDU, Generator, CRAC, AHU, etc.)
Bachelor's degree and 3+ years IT-relevant work experience OR 5+ years IT-relevant work experience without a bachelors degree.
