Job Overview

  • The focus of the Payroll Associate Accountant is to have a complete end to end knowledge on payroll accounting activities.

  • This includes preparing monthly payroll Journal entries, payroll account reconciliations, including payroll accounting source files review and analysis. Ensuring completeness and accuracy of Journal entries and reconciliations. Working with internal and external stakeholders on payroll accounting issues and providing support to the payroll accounting team.PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIESDetailed review and analysis of the monthly payroll accounting input/source files received from multiple countries.Communicate clearly with the payroll input providers/stake holders in case of any issues in the input files.Responsible for Preparing monthly Payroll Journal entries independently within the close timelines.Responsible for Preparing monthly account reconciliations for all the payroll account liabilities.Ensuring completeness and accuracy of the month end journals and account reconciliationsResponsible for taking necessary actions and follow up with the stakeholders for all unreconciled/open itemsResearch and resolve payroll accounting open issues, if any.

Minimum Qualifications

B.com graduate with 4 years of experience in Payroll accounting.

Must have practical experience in SAP environment in preparing and uploading the payroll journal entries.

Must have practical experience in Payroll account reconciliations.

Fluent in English (written and verbal)

Experience in working for a multinational corporation (required)

Preferred Qualifications

Very strong in payroll accounting knowledge.

Practical experience in SAP knowledge in preparing and uploading payroll Journals.

Must have strong knowledge in Excel application.

Skilled in payroll process, principles, and terminology

Self-motivated and independent thinker with excellent time management skills

Knowledge in concepts associated with accounting principles and payroll policies with the ability to apply them to various situations

Excellent review and analytical skills, with attention for detail and accuracy

Strong communication skills and effective in working directly with employees and payroll partners

Able to recommend new approaches, methods, alternative processes or solutions for payroll

Competent in writing email payroll processing status reports to payroll management

Proficient in basic application programs (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

Should be able to stretch during the month end close.

B.com Graduate or PG in Commerce
