Job Overview :

  • Characterize the electrical performance of multi-chip module or die level power amplifiers, switches, tuners, and LNAs used in high volume cellular communications. Contribute to the validation of the electrical and reliability performance of a family of RF Front End products.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Characterization plan development, first silicon debug, process experiment definition, multiple-source fab matching, device characterization, data analysis using statistical techniques, test limit (guard band) generation, procedure documentation, product report presentation.

  • Review Test HW (probe card) schematics and layout, test SW (test program) development, HW/SW integration.

  • Make recommendation for the selection of appropriate ATE platform for optimal test cost and throughput.

  • Establish correlation between ATE and bench measurements and transferring to production.

  • Drive failure analysis to completion, yield variance control.

  • Drive for short term and long-term test time reduction and yield improvement to meet set goals without compromising production quality for multiple projects in parallel.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.

OR

Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 1+ year of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.

OR

PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A basic background in RF (Radio Frequency) engineering coursework or previous professional experience (The more the better).

  • Basic knowledge of semiconductor fundamentals and wireless communication standards.

  • Basic awareness of the function and purpose of front-end products such as Power Amplifiers, LNAs, Switches, and Duplexers.

  • Basic experience coding (school or work) in C or C++ or Java or Python.

  • Lab Equipment Knowledge and an ability to demonstrate basic proficiency with lab bench equip (oscilloscope, voltmeter, power meter, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, VNA).

  • Familiarity of basic electrical engineering skills EM, Electronics and Electrical circuits.

  • Basic knowledge of the key RFFE components of a smart phone.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to creatively seek solutions using math and logic.

  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills with an ability to describe problems clearly.

  • Experience using Excel or a professional Data Analysis tool for organizing and presenting engineering data.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of direct industry experience.

  • Familiar EM skills w/ de-embedding of RF losses and/or matching.

  • Familiarity with RF test methods and concepts such as Envelope-Tracking and/or digital Pre-Distortion

  • Previous Data analysis Experience and Knowledge of Statistical methods for Engineering.

  • Must have analytical skills for debug and development of test bench hardware and software.

  • Highly motivated, fast learner, team player with Good communication skills.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields.
