Overview

Job Overview:

Ø 2-6 years of relevant IT experience Unix/Linux OS administration

Ø Expert on UNIX OS administration with extensive experience and sound knowledge of UNIX Operating systems like Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6/7 Solaris 10, 11 / should be flexible and have cross platform working knowledge.

Ø System administration-level knowledge of NFS, NIS, LDAP, autofs, LVM, Kickstart, PXE , IMM/ILO/DRAC administration -Enclosures/Blade hardware platform.

Ø Hands on expertise in product clustering & virtualization - VCS, RHCS, VMware, RHEV, LDOMS/Zones.

Ø Experience in Microservices , like Docker container , Rancher etc.

Ø Experience Building, Cloning, Maintaining and Managing Virtual Machines.

Ø Knowledge on Shell/Perl scripting and configuration management tools like Ansible .

Ø Solid understanding of fiber channel topologies, SANs and NAS.

Ø Hands on experience in configuring and deploying Hardware devices like HP DL/BL Series Servers/Sun Hardware/Dell - Enclosures/Blade hardware platform.

Ø Demonstrable experience of working with ITIL or similar managed service framework.

Ø Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential and communicate effectively and are not afraid to share knowledge and ideas.

Ø Must be able to work within an enterprise ticketing system (such as ServiceNow) and resolve issues in a timely fashion.

Ø Must be able to participate in an on-call rotation and support 24 x7 production environment.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include the managing of servers across the locations which includes Linux, Solaris, and a footprint of VMware in a critical production environment. Incident management, good knowledge of ticket management tools. Should be a team player with excellent problem solving skills. Ability to manage/handle Sev 1 tickets on priority, support On-Call 24X7.

Education Requirements

Required: Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering.

Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering.
