Job Overview

The successful candidate will oversee Qualcomm customers Automotive product portfolio execution and manage technical support and program aspects of Qualcomm engagement with them.

You will be required to:

  • Support Qualcomm Sales/Marketing by leading the management of the technical relationships between the customer and Qualcomm business units

  • Provide overall project management for the customer project from concept through mass production

  • For projects under development: drive customer issues to resolution, mitigate escalations and set expectations with the customer by collaborating with engineering on a daily basis

  • For projects under evaluation: engage with the customer by organizing trainings, reviewing the design concept, gathering project requirements, and analyzing the gaps & risk involved in product commercialization

  • Align customer milestones with hardware and software deliverable timeline by collaborating with product and program management

  • Review the customer portfolio on a monthly basis, prioritize customer projects and provide justification for technical support resource allocation

  • Work with Qualcomm internal program, product and technology teams, bringing in and representing customer project requirements and feedback.

  • Do first level of diligence on customer requirements and issues utilizing engineering background in HW/SW/Systems, resolve a good number of them and channel the remaining to right experts internally within Qualcomm for quick response.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

  • 7+ years Hardware Applications Engineering or Hardware Design experience or related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6+ years wireless or auto electronics industry experience. Technical experience on Qualcomm technology and products is preferred.

  • 3+ years of managing wireless technology related large scale customer projects and relationships

  • Ability to proactively manage customer expectations to influence customer relations and design decisions

  • Oral and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively present information to a range of audiences

  • Wireless/embedded/SW/HW technical skills for initial triage of customer project issues and management with remote locations

  • In addition to leading & hands-on Engineering work, managing complex technical projects in a SW environment

  • Experience leading and directing engineers that are in independent functional organizations.

  • Experience in development/support/commercialization of complex wireless/embedded/SW/HW systems

Education Requirements

Required: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

Preferred: Master's, Business Administration and/or Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
