Overview Qualcomm is looking for mask layout designers to work on mixed signal and other analog layout designs in the latest technology nodes. You will join a team responsible for creating, verifying, and revising while working with Cadence and Mentor tools in a version-controlled design environment. As a mask layout designer, you will be an integral part of the engineering team in ongoing project and process development. You will demonstrate strong verification and debugging skills; assist in project and group planning and methodology improvement; and demonstrate leadership and excellent communication skills and teamwork.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create high performance mixed signal blocks, modules and ASICs from concept to tapeout; DAC, BBRx, ADC, PLL, DLL, LDO, Audio Codec, LNA, Mixer, VCO

  • Perform detailed custom layout including floorplan, placement, routing, verification, and release of final database for high frequency RF circuits.

  • Implement designs in the most advanced process nodes; work within complex design rules and constraints

  • Revise and debug existing designs in a timely manner

  • Implement details of the circuit engineer’s design specification

  • Work smoothly with remote design centers in the US and overseas Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience with custom Analog/Mixed-Signal design layout at block / device level

  • Excellent debugging skills

  • Excellent communication skills Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in chip, module, and device level custom analog design using Cadence Virtuoso and Mentor Calibre tools

  • 2+ years of experience collaborating with remote design teams

  • Advanced knowledge of Caliber DRC/ERC/LVS verification and debugging tools, Virtuoso XL, and schematic driven layout design flow

Education Requirements Required: Certificate / Associate's Degree in Mask Layout Design

Preferred: BSEE
