Job Overview We seek a passionate engineer with in-depth knowledge on algorithm design for new image sensor technologies to join the Camera Systems team.

The Camera Systems team creates embedded imaging solutions for Snapdragon chipsets that power advanced mobile devices. Our solutions leverage dedicated hardware, multi-core processors, DSP, and GPU cores to provide state-of-the-art photographs, video recordings, as well as scene data for image understanding and object detection. Responsibilities include the following:

  • Research and development for next generation camera features and image quality improvement

  • Prototype solutions on mobile platforms for proof of concept and demonstration purposes

  • Deployment of solutions that improve the mobile imaging experience.

  • Design of camera systems that balance power, memory, silicon area to maximize imaging performance

Minimum Qualifications 5+ years working experiences in the following areas:

  • Signal processing

  • Camera and image processing technologies

  • CMOS sensors and algorithms for sensor and optics processing

  • Image signal processor pipeline design

  • Device driver, sensor networking and architecture

  • Customer support/ camera tuning experience

  • C, C++, Matlab

Preferred Qualifications Additional skills in the following areas are a plus:

  • Candidates should have excellent analytical and problem solving skills along with strong coding background

  • Track record of driving ideas from design through commercialization

  • 25% oversea travel is required

Education Requirements Master or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science
