Job Overview Qualcomm China is looking for experienced Qualcomm LTE/LTE-A modem engineer on Qualcomm platform, mainly for field test or IOT lab test. The work scope includes but not limit to:

  • Designing, developing and carrying out test cases and procedures for wireless handsets testing and log analysis.

  • Manage test requirements, organize test plan reviews, generate required test reports and provide test execution/support to carriers testing.

  • Work closely with global RD team to achieve the release goal. To be responsible for Qualcomm chipset testing, issue verification and troubleshooting.

Minimum Qualifications - A minimum of Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications/ Electrical/Computer Engineering

  • Good understanding of wireless communication theory and cell phone technology. Familiar with wireless protocol, specifically WCDMA, GSM/GPRS/EDGE, CDMA/EVDO, TDD-LTE, FDD-LTE.

  • Hands-on experience with software test script development, familiar with at least one language programming.

  • Familiar with carriers' acceptance testing execution and test cases designing.

  • Excellent problem solving skills and learning ability.

  • Good communication (oral and written) skills in both English and Chinese.

Preferred Qualifications - Experience with China carrier test is a plus.

  • Experience with OEM test and issue analysis is a plus.

  • Experience with Perl/Python test scripts is a plus.

  • Experience with NB-IOT is a plus.

  • Experience with 5G is a plus.

Education Requirements - Required: Bachelor's, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.

  • Preferred: Master's, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
