Qualcomm is looking for an experienced TFT and Array design engineer who has an exceptional track record of developing and implementing designs in production on glass and flexible substrates. The candidate will be involved in the commencement, design and development of analog and digital circuits for sensing/ fingerprint applications for mobile devices. He/She will be responsible for pixel design/optimization and for the design of the periphery circuitry. The candidate will be also responsible for development activities ranging from design, chip bring up & characterization to systems validation. The position offers an exciting opportunity in a fast-growing area in sensors, touch and display technologies for smart phones and mobile devices.

Minimum Qualifications 5+ years of related hands-on industrial TFT design experience:

  • 5+ years interfacing with manufacturing partners in Display or Semiconductor manufacturing

  • Hands-on experience with p-Si device physics, device process, device characterization, and systems.

  • TFT device model extractions from test chips

  • TFT Pixel and periphery circuitry design including MUXs and row drivers

  • Fluent in overall system simulations (Sensor / ASIC) and interactions

  • Lab measurements, bench characterization and circuit debug skills

  • Development of drive waveforms, and calibrations algorithms, and firmware

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Background in ultrasonic systems

  • Build FW, rapid lab FPGA prototyping systems for sensors, HW silicon emulations

  • System and/or chip level experience for sensors, sensors interface architectures and signal processing

  • Cadence

Education Requirements Required: Master's, Electrical Engineering and/or Physics

Preferred: Doctorate, Electrical Engineering and/or Physics
