The role of this position is to enable and provide Software engineering services to Qualcomm Mobile station Software users. QCT's software applications engineers work with handset manufacturers with Embedded Application and Wireless protocol Software. It is a very challenging position requiring the candidate to learn Qualcomm Mobile station software, Embedded Software, Real Time OS, 3G/4G wireless protocols, related specifications, their implementations, Wireless Mobile Test Equipments, test procedures, and industry standard test tools. The role requires interfacing with handset software developers and Qualcomm engineers to do due diligence, debug failures, suggest fixes, improve the software, enhance test procedures, develop scripts to automate debugging and document various procedures, and debug techniques. The candidate will be a part of the engineering team responsible for debugging embedded software for radio Front-End, transceiver, and baseband control on the worlds most advanced wireless modems with OEMs. It is highly technical job requiring significant hands-on work.


  • Prior experience with portable hand-held devices and technical support for customers desirable.

  • Experience in software configuration management and version control an advantage.

  • Familiarity with C, ARM-assembly, emulators/JTAG-debuggers, test-mobiles; logging tools an advantage.

  • Ability to work as part of a dedicated project team or independently essential

Minimum Qualifications 1 to 3 years of industry experience in the following:

  • RF Test equipment measurements for power, spectrum, and waveform quality in at least one of the following areas: cellular standard CDMA2000, WCDMA, HSPA, GSM/EDGE, TD-SCDMA, and LTE
