Job Overview The WLAN Performance Modeling Engineer will develop SystemC TLM AT models for wireless LAN connectivity hardware used in SoC performance simulations to evaluate subsystem performance and architectural trade-offs. The engineer will integrate and test these models in the context of wired and wired connectivity networking platform models that are used to simulate subsystem and system performance use cases. The engineer will work with SoC hardware architects and designers, software/firmware and performance validation teams to correlate the performance simulation results with RTL simulation, emulation platforms and end products.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering

  • 3+ Years C++ and/or SystemC TLM modeling: transaction or cycle-accurate/approximate hardware models and/or traffic generators design and development

  • 1+ Years Python and/or Perl script development

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrable working knowledge of: AXI interconnect fabrics, DMA, DDR controllers, high-speed peripherals (PCIe, SATA, USB), CPU/Cache, MMU/SMMU

  • Understanding of 802.11x wireless networking subsystems and protocols

  • Masters degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering

  • Background in SoC hardware design/verification/emulation, software/firmware design and/or hardware/software partitioning

  • Understanding of performance issues in low level software drivers/firmware/microcode

  • Software revision control and bug tracking tools; e.g. P4, CVS, Jira, Bugzilla

Education Requirements Required: Bachelor's, Computer Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering

Preferred: Master's, Computer Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering
