QCOM's Bluetooth applications engineers support a responsible for successful integration Qualcomm Bluetooth solutions into customer end products in IoT and consumer electronics markets. The role requires interfacing with customers, BT inter-operability testing partners, distributors, regional FAEs, development and product marketing and management team members. Training, publishing application notes, assisting customers with software integration, development, and system debugging are some of the key daily activities in this role. Acting as the key liaison between QCOM engineering and customers, customer engineers interact with marketing, test engineering and sales to ensure customer products are received favorably and on time in the marketplace. It is a very challenging position requiring the candidate to learn and internalize QCOM Bluetooth software and operation concepts very quickly. Qualcomm is seeking the best candidates available worldwide for this technical support position. Some travel for on-site customer support is required.
Minimum Qualifications 2+ years of experience in the following areas are required:
BT/BLE Phy or Bluetooth stack (Bluedroid/Bluez/Bluetopia) experience
HW/SW design or Tools related to BT technology
Application engineering experience including managing customer technical issues and customer facing documentation.
Must possess superior problem solving and board-level debug capabilities.
Must be self-motivated with good written and verbal communication skills.
HW/SW bring up experience
BT HCI, SOC and BT profiles like HSP, HFP and A2DP
Prior system integration experience with WLAN and/or BT and/or 15.4 products and knowledge in 802.11/BT/BLE/15.4 is helpful.
Good lab skills using various instruments, such as Spectrum Analyzer, Logic Analyzer, VSA, Network Analyzer, and Oscilloscope
Excellent communication skills including verbal and written is required.
Ability to work as part of a dedicated project team
