Job Overview

Candidate will be the primary interface between Qualcomm's growing connectivity IC product portfolio and our customers.


  • Contribute to the dynamic Customer (Applications) Engineering Team for smartphone, consumer, and IoT product definition and design.

  • Support Qualcomm's growing portfolio of wireless connectivity products.

  • Work closely with the Engineering, Product Marketing, Product Management, and Biz Dev teams along with members of the applications team to solve customers challenging HW and implementation issues, create chipset documentation (datasheets, design guides, training material, app notes), and assist customers with design assistance, bring-up, troubleshooting, and provide training. Some travel may be required (US and International).

Minimum Qualifications 3 to 7 years of industry experience with the following skills:

  • RF fundamentals with matching and tuning experience

  • Transceiver circuit, antenna, and wireless design

  • Capable of providing detailed technical analysis and resolution of customers issues in a timely manner

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proactive attention to detail and the ability to learn quickly and produce quality work in a fast-paced environment is a must

  • Familiar with schematic design, layout design with tools and general PCB practices

  • Familiar with chip bring up and associated debug

  • Bench work and soldering skills helpful

  • Familiar with the WLAN/BT standards

  • Strong customer support experience

  • Familiar with smartphone and wireless device design cycle

  • Excellent communication (English - both written and verbal) and teamwork skills

  • Knowledge of Qualcomm debug, calibration and test tools such as QDART and QXDM

  • Familiar with Qualcomm's product portfolio

Education Requirements Required: Bachelor's, Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering

Preferred: Master's, Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering
