Job Overview Thermal Software Product Engineering Team is actively seeking talented engineers in developing software for Mobile and Embedded devices. The product engineering team is responsible for the execution of chipset level thermal/ limits management SW. In this role the candidate will perform system level software analysis, use case level power and performance optimization of thermal use-cases, and solve broad system level problems. The candidate is expected to collaborate with Architecture, HW design, Performance, Power & Thermal Systems and various software teams to work towards optimal system level thermal software solution. In addition, the candidate will also participate in development of tools for thermal software analysis and optimization of Thermal algorithms.

Minimum Qualifications 6 months to 5 years of academic or industry experience in the following:

  • Embedded software development in C

Preferred Qualifications

  • ARM or any other processor architecture (core, cache, memory, bus architecture, IOs, etc.) and common hardware blocks

  • Familiarity with various hardware components in the SoC, such as GPU, Codecs, Display Engines, etc.

  • Preference to candidates with experience in developing power and/or thermal management software on embedded platforms

  • Strong in Operating systems concepts - scheduling, memory management and device drivers

  • Experience in using debug tools like JTAG debugger, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers

Education Requirements Bachelors (or higher) degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
