Job Overview This SW Technology Program Manager position is part of the QUALCOMM CDMA Technologies (QCT) Core SW team tasked with managing development and delivery of SW technologies. The candidate will be responsible for providing classical program management support and leadership including the following core priorities:

  • Scope new products and feature requests as per the deadlines.

  • Create feature delivery plans for new chipsets and drive workshop planning for the tech teams.

  • Develop execution schedules comprehending staffing needs and interdependencies with other Qualcomm teams and 3rd parties. Update schedules on a weekly basis.

  • Update and report on staffing actuals each month by project and use the data for estimating effort for future projects.

  • Ensure team roadmap is well defined, project priorities are managed across the teams, manage change control, driving synchronization across several development teams.

  • Establish communications process for weekly execution status, manage risk and recovery actions, and close on action items promptly. Develop program indicators to push information to internal customer teams and management.

  • Co-partner with tech leads to identify areas of improvements and lead the various process improvement activities for the teams.

  • Partner with other functional areas to establish critical processes to support disciplined product development and decision making and to ensure quality.

  • Coordination across multiple domestic as well as international development sites required.

Minimum Qualifications 5+ years in the following areas required:

  • Experience in SW engineering and/or SW program management

  • Experience with Project Planning (MS Project/Workfront), and SW development lifecycle

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks in order to manage multiple deliveries with tight timelines.

  • Effective communication skills needed in order to collaborate with multiple teams.

  • PMP Certification

Education Requirements Required: Bachelor's, Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering

Preferred: Master's, Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering
