Job Overview QUALCOMM Research is leading the way in many new technologies that will be commercialized in the near future. We do research in a wide range of areas including machine/deep learning, robotics, computer vision, and context-aware computing.

The Qualcomm Research Systems Test and Integration team builds and tests prototype systems for new technologies. System Integration and Test (SI&T) team members interact closely with systems engineering and software/hardware developers. This includes defining test goals, writing test plans, executing tests, trouble shooting and performing detailed post processing analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in testing, enjoy working in a lab environment, and have a proactive, hands-on approach to work assignments.

Prime responsibilities will be system integration and test for the platform, applications, and control system as well as technology demonstrations. Candidates must have great interest in new technologies and willing to learn. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required and must be able to work well with others in a technical environment. Some travel for trade shows, IoT (Interoperability Testing) and customer support may be required.

Minimum Qualifications Industry experience in Robotics/UAVs, and/or Video/Camera testing

Preferred Qualifications Knowledge in some of the following areas: Video testing and analysis, flight control operation and verification, UAV operation

Navigation systems (accelerometers, magnetometers, gyros, GPS, IMU).

Familiar with testing applications on Windows, Linux and Android.

Working knowledge with the following programming languages and environments: Matlab, Python, Java, OpenCV, Perl, ROS, C/C++, etc.

Ability to lead and carry out independent research

Deal with both hardware and software components

Data analysis and manipulation for results understanding and presentations

Must have great interest in new technologies and willing to learn.

Education Requirements Required: Bachelor's, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering

Preferred: Master's, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering
