Job Overview Working as part of Automotive Product Management team to define the platform for Autonomous Driving systems. The candidate would be working closely with other Automotive operations modems, V2X, domain controllers, cockpit controller, sensors etc. to provide a platform view of ADAS and Autonomous Driving systems.

The responsibilities include:

  • Defining platform roadmap for levels of autonomous driving* Snapdragon SoC with all the attach components and functions to meet different car architectures* Homogenous and scalable software infrastructure for the platform

  • Close collaboration with engineering teams to define and architect the components on Autonomous Driving Software stack

  • Design of Reference Designs for ADAS and Autonomous Driving functions

  • Coordination with other external companies to pre-integrate their components on the reference designs

  • Coordinating with engineering teams and HW Product Management to ensure that the platform requirements feed into hardware architectures

  • External third party engagements for ADAS and Autonomous Driving ecosystem development

  • Supporting and managing RFI and RFQ process for customer programs

  • Coordination with WW teams for product schedule, delivery etc.In addition to the qualification requirements listed below, we are also seeking expertise in the following areas:

  • Complex ADAS and Autonomous driving systems. For example:* Highway Autopilot, Self Parking systems* Emergency Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control Systems* Sensor Fusion systems for Camera and Radars* Forward Facing Cameras, Surround View systems, Multi-radar systems* Vehicle control systems

  • Understanding of automotive production* Auto qualification of semiconductor components and hardware designs* Test and validation of the above mentioned ADAS systems

  • Definition of following components based on system configuration* Advantages of one sensor over the other* Typical configurations of cameras, radars, lidars, V2X, Localization sensors etc

  • Embedded system software for automotive applications* Realtime OS and HLOS* Device Drivers

  • Taking a platform through ISO26262 ASIL qualification (preferably upto ASIL D systems)* Safety concepts for ADAS and Autonomous Driving systems* ISO26262 decomposition understanding across different components of the platform* Distribution of software and hardware diagnostics* AutoSAR and Adaptive AutoSAR MCAL drivers, Autosar applications

  • Thorough understanding of:* I/O peripherals like PCIe, Ethernet, LVDS, High speed SerDes* Camera sensors ISPs, image sensors, connectivity* Radar sensors AFE, connectivity with fusion system, Radar processing* Scalable multi-embedded SoC designs* Functional safety requirements for the above mentioned I/Os and their functionality

  • Architecting and understanding complex middleware functions* OpenVX, OpenMP, OpenCL frameworks* SDKs for multi-sensor perception and fusion* ROS

Minimum Qualifications 10+ years in the following areas required:

  • Experience in customer engagements and product management in Automotive

  • Production experience on delivering complete platform from concept to commercialization

  • Experience managing engineering teams for hardware and software deliverables

  • Experience managing complete cycle of Product Requirements Document to Change Requests to prioritization of commercial feature requests

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relationship in Automotive industry at Tier1s and OEMs with multi-year experience at Auto OEM or Tier1s

Education Requirements Required: Bachelor's, Business Administration and/or Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering
