Job Overview Opportunity to join the QCT Global SOC Operations Team in a high visibility role. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing PM support and leadership for VLSI Front End Design & Validation team including the following responsibilities.
-Establish stable Plan of Record (POR): ensure roadmap/requirements baseline, project priorities, and driving synchronization across several development teams, manage feature requirements and POR.
-Project estimation, planning, schedule, resource management and prioritization.
-Drive planning/scheduling: develop and maintain program master schedules and milestones, budgets, work plans and resource requirements.
-Validation and Implementation Project management: responsible for managing validation and implementation based risks, change control and escalation management. Must be able to proactively drive and solve problems to solutions.
-Establish routine update & communication process: update status, trends vs. baseline, risk management, mitigation and recovery actions. Develop program indicators to push information to internal teams and management.
-Motivation of project team, calling and chairing progress review meetings
-Coordination across multiple development sites will be required. This includes other sites as well as contractors, both domestic and international.
Minimum Qualifications -Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering: B.S. plus 12 years of experience, or M.S. plus 10 years of experience
-Technical domain expertise in all aspects of Front End Design from Feature requests to Design, Integration and Synthesis.
-Computer proficient and literate (fluent in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
Preferred Qualifications -A successful candidate requires a strong design and validation background along with people management skills. The responsibilities include Project Management of Design and Validation team working on multiple ASICs.
-Primary role is relationship building, negotiating, and problem solving. You will be negotiating across all functional groups including design, DV, library, DFT, verification & PD and operations teams to achieve efficient and effective solutions.
-Experience in the development and evolution of ASIC design flow, implementing the flow as part of a larger team. Ability to influence the design methodology across all teams. You will help coordinate and support their methodology deployment, and play a key role in planning future design initiatives.
-Proven leadership in a technical and/or program management role. Experienced in providing regular executive level communication.
-Prior experience in process improvement and/or infra development with a goal to deploy/improve decisions based on data analysis.
-Proven skills in communication, negotiation, motivation, dealing and resolving difficult and complex situations.
-This position requires a self-motivated engineer with good project management and organizational skills to deliver high quality output in a timely manner. Requires a mix of strong people, technical and analytical skills, superb written and oral communication skills, and the ability to operate in team environments.
