Qualcomm's SW Architecture team develops a long term road map of CPU sub-systems for a variety of Snapdragon products. The team is responsible for developing Architecture specifications, develop prototypes, participate in SW eco-system decisions and is responsible for state of art CPUs being delivered for all future Snapdragon chipsets.
The team is currently looking for highly motivated engineers who can contribute to performance evaluation of next generation Snapdragon CPUs and development of world class benchmarks for evaluating CPU performance. The job would require working with various Qualcomm internal teams, standard bodies, research groups and industry leading benchmarking companies in order to develop SW that can assess performance of CPUs.
Development of SW for benchmarking CPU
Represent Qualcomm in various forums evaluating CPU performance
Evaluate performance of next generation Snapdragon CPU performance
Introduce new methods to evaluate the CPU performance both post Si and pre Si
Introduce new methods to represent complex mobile/compute use cases in simpler portable SW
Understand and develop methods to evaluate new CPU features in next generation ARM Architecture
Optimize commonly used SW libraries for latest ARM Snapdragon CPU
Minimum Qualifications 5+ years of industry experience in the following:
C/C++, Perl/Python programming languages
Good debugging, analytical and problem solving skills
Good communication skills
Knowledge of any assembly language programming is an added advantage
Education Requirements Required: Bachelor's, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering
Preferred: Master's, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering
M.S. with at least 5 years relevant industry experience or B.S/B.E with at least 10 years relevant industry experience
