Job Overview Qualcomm Technologies Inc. continues to lead the industry in communication technology as we introduce the new 5G platforms, and is the largest fabless semiconductor company in the world. We are currently seeking experienced process and device engineers accelerating the development of new capabilities in the cellular and mm-wave bands.

Join this growing research team to develop advanced solutions utilizing state of the art proprietary technologies for integrated tunable capacitors. These roles will include RF device characterization, modeling and optimization in the 1-100GHz frequencies. Of particular importance will be an in-depth understanding of device behavior at RF and mm-wave frequencies, characterization techniques, including linearity and noise measurements, as well as mathematical and simulation models.

As a Senior R&D Engineer, you will play a significant role in optimizing new solutions for 5G Cellular and Wireless Connectivity. Come be a part of a team that is changing the way we live and communicate.

Minimum Qualifications PhD or a minimum of an MS degree with 5+ years of relevant industry experience required in one or more of the following areas:

RF & Power device characterization/optimization and modeling

RF test equipment and measurement techniques

RF device engineering and parasitic extraction

Silicon process flow and ability to modify physical implementation of transistor structures

Knowledge of Semiconductor and solid state physics

Preferred Qualifications PHD Degree preferred

Device modeling

RF design tools and simulators

Knowledge of RF tuning techniques

Passionate self-starter and team player with experience in project leadership and proven track record in research oriented activities

Education Requirements Required: Master's, Electrical Engineering

Preferred: Doctorate, Electrical Engineering
