Job Overview Qualcomm Technologies Inc. continues to lead the industry in communication technology as we introduce the new 5G platforms, and is the largest fabless semiconductor company in the world. We are currently seeking experienced process and device engineers accelerating the development of new capabilities in the cellular and mm-wave bands.
Join this growing research team to develop advanced solutions utilizing state of the art proprietary technologies for integrated tunable capacitors. These roles will include device design, TCAD simulations, parasitic extraction and layout optimization using innovative device concepts to deliver next generation performance. Of particular importance will be an in-depth understanding of device physics and RF design principles as well as the practical aspects of integration and parasitic elements management.
As a Senior R&D Engineer, you will play a significant role in defining new solutions for 5G Cellular and Wireless Connectivity. Come be a part of a team that is changing the way we live and communicate.

Minimum Qualifications PHD Degree or a minimum of an MS degree with 5+ years of relevant industry experience required in one or more of the following areas:
RF & Power device design
TCAD simulation tools
RF layout design (Bulk & SOI CMOS, GaN, GaAs)
Parasitic extraction tools and optimization techniques
Silicon process flow and ability to modify physical implementation of transistor structures
Ability to work with RF test equipment in the lab
Semiconductor and solid state physics experience required
Preferred Qualifications Additional skills in the following areas are a plus:
PHD Degree preferred
RF design tools and simulators
RF circuit design
Knowledge of RF tuning techniques
Passionate self-starter and team player with experience in project leadership and proven track record in research oriented activities
Education Requirements Required: Master's, Electrical Engineering
Preferred: Doctorate, Electrical Engineering
