Job Overview The RF IPD Passive/Filter designer will be in charge of process-integration/design of glass IPD development for RF multiplexers (diplexer, triplexer, filters) commercialization. Specific duties outlined as follows:

-Glass-IPD design and integration to develop RF passive-components for RFFE applications driven by higher performance, smaller form-factor and lower cost.

-Lead competitive-analysis, product-initiation, foundry-interface

-Tape-out the test-vehicles to OSAT foundries for hardware-results

-Optimize process-integration and reduce process cycle-time for engineering samples.

-Configuration on the system-level integration for glass IPD product opportunity

-Exploration on the disruptive technology for near-term and long-term QCOM chipset

-Experiment and characterization for Model-versus-Hardware correlation with the test-chips

-Presentation on Hardware-results to the collaborators and the customers

-Development of electrical model through experimental results and 3D EM simulation

-Manage to RF advanced-laboratory for test-chip experiment and characterization

-Promote state-of-the-art performances and architectural breakthroughs in RF emerging technology

-Diagnose crucial technology milestones and develop gate-keeping intellectual properties on RF, baseband, integration, protocol, and communication standards for RF module

-Process-integration and design for Glass-IPD passive components

-Develop RF passive electrical/magnetic-coupled model through EM simulation

-Lead test-chip activities to demonstrate on model-versus-hardware (MHC)

-Interface with the internal customers and external foundries to fabricate of passive components

-Promote state-of-the-art performances and architectural breakthroughs in RF emerging technology

Minimum Qualifications 10+ years of industry experience in the following:

-Experience with RF technologies, Glass IPD, SOI IPD, RF circuitry, RF PKG, and RF system

-Experience with 2D and 3D EM simulation for electrical and magnetic characterization

-Experiment and characterization of RF devices, RF circuitry, and RF systems

-RF passive modeling and passive device-test

-3D RF integration through SIP

-3D EM simulators in design, simulation, placement, routing, and verification

Preferred Qualifications -Device performance data mining, statistical analysis with mathematical tools, and yield learning and estimation methodology

-Macro design for test-chip and tape-out activities

-Excellent communications skills in verbal and written English

Education Requirements Required: Master's, Electrical Engineering

Preferred: Doctorate, Electrical Engineering
