Job Overview Qualcomm is seeking a Program Manager in support of our Modem Software technology teams.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leadership: - Responsible for coordinating development and delivery of projects and services across many functional groups and geographical locations - Create, manage and track project deliverables including but not limited to: 1). Project Schedules 2). Requirements 3). Detailed Project Plans 4). Resource Plans 5). Risks, Issues, Trade-offs 6). Status Reports - Ability to make independent decisions, with minimal supervision, based on current processes and best practices - Ability to prioritize, plan, coordinate and deliver on multiple tasks/projects simultaneously - Provides direction to cross-functional groups to achieve common best practices and alignment of project management methods

  • Interpersonal Skills/Teamwork: - Understands team dynamics and provides appropriate direction and facilitation for team activities and complex issues - Provides on-going visibility and status into team accomplishments - Strong team player with a can do attitude - Exhibits a calm and collected demeanor

  • Communication Skills: - Communicates effectively with team members and those involved in the program to build consensus - Ability to make formal, effective, and concise presentations to internal customers and management - Excellent public speaker - Ability to coach and train others on Software Development processes and best practices

Minimum Qualifications 5+ years in the following areas required:

  • Program management experience in software engineering environment

  • Embedded systems program management and development

  • Experience in leading process development, training, and adherence across multiple teams

  • Multi-GEO development experience

  • MS Excel, Power Point and other MS Office Tools

  • Workfront or similar project planning tool experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Effective persuasion and negotiation skills, including conflict resolution skills

  • Ability to adjust and set priorities to meet deadlines

Education Requirements Required: Bachelor's, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering
