Job Overview Work with Program Management and Development team to develop innovative technical solutions, provide input to project roadmaps, provide estimates for technical components and technical consulting as required. Provide technical leadership and strategic direction to team for technical strategies/approaches. Collaborate with users, QA and Management to ensure that enhancements and application defects are managed effectively. Communicate status of development activities as required. Demonstrate strong initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision or direction.
Strong technical, interpersonal and organizational skills a must
Demonstrated success in developing software for larger multi-disciplined groups required
Demonstrated communication/collaboration skills required Solid problem solving capability a must
Must be able to evaluate and speak to strengths and weaknesses of various technology solutions
Solid understanding of software development methodologies with Agile based experience preferred
Experience with several SCM tools such as SVN and git
Minimum Qualifications Strong Java/JEE skills
Must have solid command of Java as a programming language and be well aware of supporting libraries
Reasonable understanding of JAVA thread safety concepts
Must have good knowledge of Spring framework Hibernate/JPA or similar ORM experience
Good knowledge of Node.js and Python
Experience with system integration using RESTful webservices
Useful if one has JMS/messaging programming experience and be familiar with common integration patterns
Good knowledge of SQL databases and SQL scripting
Operating knowledge of Linux - Basic knowledge of usage is expected.
Navigate, basic commands and ability to write simple scripts.
