In the Product and Test Engineering department, youll be at the cutting edge ensuring QTILs product high quality products are manufactured to the right quality, delivered on time, and at the correct cost.

The successful applicant will be given training allowing them to document, build, and debug production test hardware for QTIL working with the other members of the Test Engineering team and Product Planning to support production requirements. This is an end to end role talking to the planning teams, gauging their requirements, delivering hardware, then ensuring its shipment to third part suppliers.

The successful applicant will support vendors with maintenance and repair of test equipment when required in Cambridge, helping to minimize down time, troubleshooting faults, alerting users of equipment issues or extended periods of down time. Following up the role holder will liaise with equipment suppliers to identify, agree, and coordinate the best course of action.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity for career progression to an ATE test engineer. Full training will be provided to enable ATE test program code generation and modification on several ATE platforms to verify device performance with the intention of taking sole ownership of high volume Bluetooth/Wifi/GPS products through their production life cycle.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of PCBs and PCB builds including small-scale surface mount.

  • General knowledge of test systems, operation and maintenance.

  • A good understanding of mixed-signal electronics and an ability to do basic programming.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PCB layout, design, and manufacturing process methods and techniques.

Education Requirements Qualified to HND or Degree level in Electronics or similar discipline or with equivalent industrial experience.
