Job Overview The Voice and Music Business Unit is looking for a Software Product Manager with a strong background in software, electrical, or systems engineering who wants to help us take advantage of the exciting market opportunities for speakers, headsets, and soundbars.

Drive Qualcomms software development supporting primarily Bluetooth chipsets and platforms for headsets, speakers, and soundbars. In particular, contribute to the feature roadmap for the Bluecore ADK, create and manage feature requests with engineering teams, arrange delivery of software releases for the broader chip platforms as well as for specific-use platforms such as low-power headsets, high-end speakers, etc. Coordinate with chipset product managers to provide software support for new chips, and coordinate with platform/software/technology product managers for headsets, smart and simple soundbars and speakers, as well as mobile handset and internet of things product managers to drive development and delivery of new features on and across Qualcomm products. Responsibilities span developments of firmware, ROM software, ADKs (application development kits), and other example code, and includes system, user application, and DSP software components.

Highly qualified candidates will navigate Qualcomms processes for approval, development, and delivery of products, and will help improve these processes. They will interface with Qualcomm Legal to drive contracts with customers and 3rd parties, coordinate and create assets for customer product kits such as documentation, development tools, etc. They will visit and work with lead customers and Qualcomm sales and product marketing teams to understand requirements and timelines, and use this information to prioritize feature lists and work with the development teams to design and implement the desired features and experiences.

The successful candidate is able to understand and execute his/her part of the software and platform roadmaps, pitch product releases (bundles of features) to business leadership for approval, and drive the engineering teams to timely and high-quality delivery, acting as the internal proxy customer to ensure were delivering products that will make us and our customers successful in the market.

Minimum Qualifications Proven experience producing business cases leading to successful products

Proven experience working with program management, marketing, and development teams in defining and introducing new products

Proven experience working on or with software or firmware teams

Highly qualified candidates will have experience working with globally-dispersed teams

Technical background in engineering, software development or similar technical discipline

Preferred Qualifications Experience working with similar products

Education Requirements Bachelors degree in technical field related to the work electrical engineering, electronics, systems engineering, software engineering, or similar fields

Masters or Doctoral degree in technical field highly valued, as is MBA or equivalent business degree in addition to technical background
