Job Overview Qualcomm seeks a product manager to join the Automotive Connectivity team focused on the rapidly growing area of Bluetooth low energy technology and Bluetooth low energy automotive applications. The role will be to define and manage the delivery of products, system solutions and product collateral (technical documentation, tools, development kits and demos) to support defined target market segments and execution or product roadmaps. The Qualcomm Bluetooth low energy silicon products are at the center of growth in end-use applications such as car access, sensors and wireless charging. Working with the engineering teams and cross-functional stakeholders across the company, you will define and deliver the products and product collateral that engage and excite Qualcomms global customer base across the Automotive Connectivity portfolio.

We are looking for an individual with technical, customer and project management background, preferably in a combination of hardware and software, with minimum three years of experience in product management

The position will require close contacts with worldwide Qualcomm sales & regional marketing teams and support of the global business development efforts at major accounts and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing deep insights into the automotive BLE application use cases and market drivers. Assuming responsibility for the BLE product portfolio, hardware and software and related BLE revenues.

  • Regular reporting to automotive business unit management & other internal stakeholders on automotive BLE market status & trends, roadmap execution (hardware & software), revenues, design wins and strategic targets.

  • Evangelize the needs and use cases of the automotive BLE markets internally to the engineering, commercial, legal & operational organizations, highlighting issues, gaps, escalating as needed to secure year on year objectives

  • Create, manage and execute a strategy to empower the regional sales, marketing and engineering organizations to deliver on the year on year design win and strategic goals

  • Maintain close working relationship with the automotive connectivity marketing and engineering teams, as well as within the other Qualcomm BUs, such as the. Mobile / IOE / Enterprise BUs, regularly conducting meetings to align the automotive BLE roadmap and maximize leverage from the BLE investments from other BUs into the automotive area.

Minimum Qualifications 3+ years experience in the following areas required:

  • Product Management experience, including product management of high-volume wireless semiconductor and SOC products including a proven track record in BT and BLE related technologies

  • Experience with BLE, ZigBee, NFC, and related technologies

  • Experience with application processors / embedded processors (e.g. ARM, Xscale, MiPs) or SOCs

  • Experience as a hands on developer in either HW, IC's, SW or systems engineering

Preferred Qualifications

  • Effective leadership, organization, communications, decision-making skills, judgment, and technical knowledge are essential

  • Effective technical, financial, and business skills

  • Comfort speaking with internal and external customers at all levels (engineering, sales, marketing, senior management)

  • Ability to negotiate, influence and deal with conflict resolution

  • Effective problem solving and decision-making skills

  • Ability to work across cross-cultural, cross-geography, and multi-disciplinary teams, i.e., sales, operations, marketing, engineering, and finance

  • Knowledge of automotive market across multiple segments such as infotainment, ADAS and telematics

  • Experience managing a product line and demonstrating growth in market share and revenues

  • Thorough understanding of Program Management processes and procedures

  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally as business requires

Education Requirements Required: Bachelor's, Computer Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering and/or similar Engineering discipline

Preferred: Master's, Business Administration
