The digital design team in Cambridge has long-standing expertise and experience in delivering low-power, mixed-signal IC designs. The verification team is an important component of the digital team. You will work alongside digital designers, analogue designers and chip implementation teams, focusing on design verification of digital sub-systems and top-level.

You will be responsible for:

(i)Ownership of all the aspects of verification of a complex IP/Subsystem or a full chip.

(ii)Hands-on development of test-plans, verification environment/test-bench, test-cases etc.

(iii)Make sure that Qualcomms quality standards are met in the verification execution in order to achieve right first-time design.

(iv)Contribute to the overall methodology and continuous improvement programs.

(v)Mentor the junior team members based on need.

Following are essential skills

1.Deep understanding of all the verification aspects with a pragmatic approach.

2.Extensive experience in verification at all levels IP/Subsystem and Top Level in complex SoCs.

3.Expertise and experience in System Verilog and methodologies such as UVM and/or OVM.

4.Experience in metric driven verification techniques.

5.Broad understanding of the key dependencies between cross-functional teams - Design/Emulation/DFT and Analogue Teams.

Minimum Qualifications - Good experience in ASIC Verification

  • Solid HVL programming skills SV/UVM.

  • Good knowledge in design architectures.

  • Expertise in low level programming of hardware and debugging.

  • Knowledge of scripting languages, e.g., Python

  • Must be motivated, self-directing and has the ability to support several concurrent efforts

Preferred Qualifications This is a very challenging position that requires the candidate to execute various interesting techniques including,

1.Formal Verification and Assertion Based Verification (SVA)

2.Gate level simulations.

3.Power Aware Verification (CPF/UPF)

4.Mixed Signal Verification

Also, ARM based SoC verification experience using standard AMBA interfaces (AXI/AHB/APB) would be an added advantage.

Strong communication skills - able to understand and explain highly technical information in a clear and concise manner.

Strong interpersonal skills, self-starter, strong initiative.

Education Requirements Degree (or equivalent qualification) in maths/science/electronics
