Job Overview The qualified individual will be working in the QA department on a team that tests embedded and mobile printing software. The person will be responsible for the following:

Editing and executing test plans

Executing testing on Windows, iOS and Android platforms

Identifying, isolating and logging defects

Creating and updating test case database

Maintaining status information in defect tracking system

Verifying defect fixes; running regression testing

Doing a deep dive into Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word applications to understand, analyze and describe objects/behavior in these products, relative to the product being tested

Working closely with development team to create unit test cases and better understand new feature development

Developing and using automated tools

Providing project status reports to management

Minimum Qualifications

  • Recent college graduate encouraged or candidate with 2 years industry experience

  • Familiarity with PC platform, knowledge of UNIX or Linux operating environments

  • Working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and Excel Office software

  • Attention to detail a must

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledgeable/experienced with printers

  • Familiarity with Perforce and Java NetBeans IDE

  • Written and verbal Japanese language skills a plus (other written language skills also useful)

  • Experience with Perl, SQL
