Job Overview The role is to be part of the BlueStack team which delivers the Bluetooth host software for Qualcomms connectivity solution into various connectivity programs e.g. Voice and Music, Automotive, Other IOT stream of products. Demonstrate technical leadership to software teams while being closely involved in design and implementation of new features and market driven enhancements to the host software. The engineer will take ownership of a component of a project and will be responsible for delivering the software on a timescale agreed with the group leader/programme manager. The engineer should be able to work with minimal/no supervision.

Minimum Qualifications Strong C programming skills with proven experience of writing efficient code for memory constrained (embedded) system.

Defining interfaces to a Module

In depth knowledge and hands-on experience of Bluetooth/BLE in design and development of profiles and protocols.

Provide work breakdown for new features with feasibility study, effort estimates and risk mitigation

Excellent trouble shooting and analytical skills that can be applied to resolve potential system issues.

Strong communication skills with ability to evaluate and create design documentation detailing complex features and relationships.

Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

Preferred Qualifications Development experience on latest development in Bluetooth host protocol stack layers (ATT/GATT, L2CAP, RFCOMM, SDP, SMP)

Good Linux development experience: IPC, multithreading in user space applications and debugging.

Familiarity with Python and Perl scripting.

Mentored new joiners and less experienced engineers

Proficient in the use of protocol analysers and packet sniffers

Can multiplex on a couple of simultaneous assignment.

Willing to travel to other Qualcomm locations for knowledge transfer and project cooperation and IOP events

Commercial awareness understands the dynamics of the customer/client relationship

Education Requirements Required: Bachelor's, Computer Engineering

Preferred: Master's, Computer Engineering
