Job Overview We are seeking an experienced software engineer to develop and maintain a functional ARM-compatible platform model written in C++. This model is the basis of other tools used for performance modeling and validation of our ARM CPUs. As new features are added to the ARM instruction set architecture, the candidate will work to transform instruction set architectural specifications into the custom C++ functional model used to verify these features in the CPU. The candidate should have strong software engineering and debugging skills in order to maintain this model across successive CPU generations.

The candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining the software platform to ensure virtualized environments such as KVM and Xen are functional and the platform can run virtualized workloads.

Minimum Qualifications Bachelors in Computer Science and/or Computer Engineering, with the following set of skills/experience:

5+ years of software engineering experience

2+ years of experience with the ARM Instruction Set

2+ years of experience with virtual machines (e.g., KVM, Xen, QEMU)

Strong C++ and software engineering skills

Background knowledge of CPU architecture/micro-architecture

Data structures and algorithm design

Experience with Linux Software Development

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications Helpful additional skills: - Exposure to large scale software build integration and test environments. Experience with embedded Linux operating systems including Linux kernel, device drivers, file systems, memory management and boot loaders. ARM GICv3, GICv4..

Education Requirements Required: Bachelor's, Computer Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering

Preferred: Master's or PhD, Computer Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering
